Team USA captured two wins and remains undefeated in pool play with two more game remaining in the preliminary rounds. <span style="color:#333333"><o:p></o:p></span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:7.5pt;background:white"><b><span style="font-family:"Arial Narrow","sans-serif";color:#333333">USA 16, Brazil 0 (four innings)<o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:7.5pt;background:white"><span style="font-family:"Arial Narrow","sans-serif";color:#333333">Team USA was dominant in their first performance of the day at the 2015 WBSC JWWC against Brazil on OGE Energy Field. Two solo home runs by Nicole DeWitt (Garden Grove, Calif.) and Alyssa Palomino (Mission Viejo, Calif.) set the tone early. Fourteen runs in the first three innings allowed Team USA to put the game away early. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:7.5pt;background:white"><span style="font-family:"Arial Narrow","sans-serif";color:#333333">“We’re really starting to get in a good rhythm here at the Junior Women’s World Championship,” </span><span style="font-family:"Arial Narrow","sans-serif"">said Tairia Flowers (Tucson, Ariz.), Head Coach of the USA Softball Junior Women’s National Team. “Paige was great tonight pitching and I thought our defense did a nice job of having her back. Offensively we were able to locate the ball and drill it. Elicia Marie D’Orazio scored off a wild pitch after getting on base with a double to put the first run of the game on the board. Team USA battled back in the bottom of the first, as Nicole DeWitt (Garden Grove, Calif.) brought home Emily Griggs (Wichita, Kan.) on a sacrifice fly. With the score all tied up at one in the third, Shemiah Marie Sanchez brought home D’Orazio to retake the lead for Puerto Rico. Team USA rebounded again, as Alyssa Palomino (Mission Viejo, Calif.) brought home three runners with a bases-clearing triple that broke open the game. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:7.5pt;background:white"><span style="font-family:"Arial Narrow","sans-serif"">“Great win for us tonight,” said Flowers. “You have to give Puerto Rico a lot of credit, they played tough. Our girls remained calm and focused on just making plays to get the lead back.
