ISC II #16 Colorado Rage finished with the best record among the ISC II teams at the Portland Rose Cup Tournament at Portland, Oregon, with a 2-1 record. The Rage notched one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, knocking off ISC World #23 ranked Houston Aces, with lefy Kurt Tabashnuik outdueling veterans Wayne Wells, 1-0. The Rage’s second win came over a former ISC II team, A-1 Tank. The Tank had been ranked #24 before dropping out of competition at the ISC II level. A-1 was winless in 3 tries at Portland, Saturday.
ISC II #14 ranked Lumberkings finished 1-2, notching a win over ISC II #22 JRW Associates, falling to two ISC World Tournament teams, the So Cal Bombers and the Prince George Black Bears, of British Columbia.
ISC II #22 JRW Associates also faced stiff competition, going 0-3 while playing up in classification. Like the Lumberkings, JRW had to face two of the ISC World’s best, the So Cal Bombers and Prince George Black Bears.
