\nWessel\u2019s Coors Light qualifies for the ISC II World Tourney in the Quad Cities, IA\/IL<\/p>\n

Wessel\u2019s Coors Light will begin the ISC II (International Softball Congress) Tourney of Champions in Rock Island, IL this Tuesday. The tourney runs August 18\u201322. Coors Light is the first and only local team to attend this event. The 40 teams are from 13 different states and Canada. Canadian teams make up almost half the field including 5 different provinces. The top 10 nationally ranked teams are all from Canada. There are 3 Illinois teams qualified including # 11 Decatur Pride. The tourney takes place at the Campbell Softball Facility in Rock Island, IL. 40 teams total. 8 pools of 5 team pool play leads into a 24 team single elimination to crown the ISC II champion.
\nCoors Light will play their first game on Tuesday at 2:30 pm against #17 Hoffman Rise from Pennsylvania. August 19 they will play # 13 Ohsweken Redmen from Ontario, Canada That evening they will face # 32 Duncan Outlaws from Indiana. Thursday they complete their pool play against # 1 ranked Waterdown Hammer also from Ontario. Bracket play starts August 21 at 8 am.
\nWessel\u2019s enters the tournament with a record of 34-22. In 2009, Coors Light finished 2nd in the ISC Qualifier and the T-Town Memorial Day Tourney. They finished 5th at the Altamont 4th of July. They finished with 5-2 record at state last weekend good for 3rd place.
\nThe team would like to thank their sponsors Wessel\u2019s Grocery and Koerner\u2019s Distributing. They will also compete in the ASA National in Decatur, IL Labor Day weekend.

Todd Thoele and Don Wendt will not make the trip due to injuries.
\nMarcus Millsap , Kent Niebrugge, Scott Moeller, Eric Roley, Todd Venters, from Wessel\u2019s regular roster will not be able to make the trip.<\/p>\n
