Lots of movement in the ISC II Rankings as teams gear up for the 2005 ISC II Tournament of Champions <\/p>\n

While the top two teams remains the same atop the ISC II June 17 Rankings, there is a lot of movement in the top 10 and below as teams are qualifying for the 2005 ISC II Tournament of Champions. <\/p>\n

Tavistock, ON Smully\u2019s Tavistock Merchants and the two-time defending champion Harriston, ON Mercury\u2019s continue to hold down the top two spots, while Kanata, ON Team Easton Thunder climbs three places to #3 on the strength of two tournament wins. Kanata will attempt to qualify for the 2005 ToC next weekend. <\/p>\n

Galesville, WI Wilber Lime jumps from #8 to #5 on the basis of winning the tough Wisconsin area qualifier. <\/p>\n

The ranking committee boosted the Niagara, ON Snappers another 10 places in the rankings, from #18 to #8 after they won the highly competitive Snapper Shootout in early June. Along with Niagara, #4 Norwich, ON Razorbacks and #6 Palermo, ON Athletics will be the among the favourites to win the 14-team Eastern Canada (southwestern Ontario) area qualifier this weekend. <\/p>\n

The only club to fall out of the top 10 was Appleton, WI The Bar of Appleton at #12. <\/p>\n

A total of 37 teams received at least one vote from the 12-person panel. <\/p>\n

The top 10 teams, with their previous ranking in brackets, are:

\n8. (18 ) Niagara, ON Snappers
\n9. (7) Perkasie, PA KMV Rise
\n10. (5) Oswego, NY McKie’s Sports <\/p>\n

The full list, including each individual judge’s rankings, is available in the ISC II section<\/a> of the ISC website. <\/p>\n

The rankings will form the basis for seeding teams in the fourth annual ISC II Tournament of Champions which will be played August 14-19 at Casper Park in Chippewa Falls, WI. The tournament will feature 40 teams from across North America playing a four-game round robin schedule in eight pools of five teams each. The top three teams from each pool advance to a single elimination playoff bracket. <\/p>\n

Nearly 20 teams have already qualified for the 2005 ISC II ToC with several more teams expected to qualify in the next two weeks. <\/p>\n
