Ace pitcher Dave Drotzman and legendary Mike Trotter return for 2005. Now aware of the toughness of ISC II competition, JRW has added an INF and an OF and two pitchers, to strengthen the roster for the 2005 ToC in Chippewa Falls, WI.

The teams hopes for better luck in the draw. Last years games were played against two teams in the top five and against three teams in the top nineteen.

JRW & Associates has been Yakima City League Champions 3 of the last four years. The exception was a title by the JRW 23U squad, which is also sponsored by Manager Jim Williamson. JRW & Associates was also Champion of the Rainier Travel League in its last year of existence.

The squad also plans to enter the NAFA Class “AA” World Series in Mankato which has a two day overlap at the end of the ToC. With a high finish in Chippewa, the team may have to miss their NAFA opener and start competition in the Loser’s bracket. One player said ” Well, we will have reached the single elimination bracket”.

The Substitutes (2nd Team) with different pitchers will attempt to qualify for the ASA Class “C” Nationals in Stockton over the Labor Day weekend.

2005 Roster

00 Travis Lamb LF Yakima, WA
01 Tim Fischer CF Yakima, WA
02 Paul Reyes SS Sacramento, CA
03 Matt Barnes P Agoura, CA
04 Jason Grow UT Yakima, WA
08 Casey Johnson 3B Yakima, WA
12 Dave Drotzman P Hermiston, OR
13 Don Cawthron 2B Union Gap, WA
17 Mike Parham SS Yakima, WA
18 Tom Magers DH Yakima, WA
21 James Munson 1B Yakima, WA
24 Steve Drissel RF Reno, NV
27 Dean Waltier 1B Seattle, WA
33 Bob Harris C Yakima, WA
35 Troy Grow C Yakima, WA
40 Steve Allen OF Spokane, WA
42 Mike Taylor C Kennewick, WA
44 Travis Kraft P Pitt Meadows, BC
45 Mike Trotter P Eagle Point, OR
51 Jack Andreas SS Yakima, WA

05 Jim Williamson Mgr Yakima, WA

2005 Tournament Schedule

May 27-29 Rich Rice Memorial, Wenatchee, WA
June 4-5 Dave Chissus Memorial, Renton, WA – ISC II Qualifier
June 17-19 Sports Keg Invite, Mt Vernon, WA
June 24-26 DeMarini Classic, Portland, OR (Rose Cup weekend)
July 8-10 Phil Hunt Memorial, Everett, WA
July 16-17 RR – 4 Games with Bucknell Park
July 23-24 Hawks Prairie Invite, Lacey, WA (at Pat Bucknell’s park)
July 29-31 RR – Bodle, Cleon’s, CR/DeMarini, Portland, OR
Aug 5-7 NW Classic, Centralia, WA
Aug 14-19 ISC II ToC in Chippewa Falls, WI
Aug 19-22 NAFA World Series, Mankato, MN
Aug 31-Sept 5 ASA Class “C” Nationals, Stockton, CA (2nd Team)
October 7-9 NAFA 35 Over Nationals, Carson City, NV

Jim Williamson
jrwilliamson@foodfacility.com

[Yakima, WA]-In 2005, the JRW & Associates fastpitch team from Yakima, Washington will seek to improve on its 10th place finish at the ISC II Tournament of Champions in Fargo last year.
