Tavistock, ON Smully’s Merchants are top seed for 2005 ISC II Tournament of Champions<\/strong>

As they have been all year, Tavistock, ON Smully’s Merchants are on top of the final ISC II rankings heading into the 2005 ISC II Tournament of Champions.<\/p>\n

Tavistock edges out Harriston, ON Mercurys, the two-time defending champions who beat Tavistock in last year’s ISC II championship game.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the top eight (and previous ranking) are:<\/p>\n

\n4. (8) Niagara, ON Snappers
\n5. (6) Palermo, ON Athletics
\n6. (7) Gladstone, MB Whips
\n7. (5) Galesville, WI Wilber Lime
\n8. (9) Perkasie, PA KMV Rise<\/p>\n

Those teams will headline the eight pools for the fourth annual ISC II Tournament of Champions at Casper Park in Chippewa Falls, WI running from August 14 to August 19. The tournament features 40 teams from across North America playing a four-game round robin schedule in eight pools of five teams. The top three teams from each pool advance to a single elimination playoff bracket. A schedule will be released shortly.<\/p>\n

Of the 40 teams that will be in the tournament, 34 received at least one vote from the panel of 12 judges.<\/p>\n
