{"id":276,"date":"2005-08-25T08:38:05","date_gmt":"2005-08-25T16:38:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fastpitchwest.com\/thedeuce\/?p=276"},"modified":"2005-08-25T08:39:05","modified_gmt":"2005-08-25T16:39:05","slug":"quite-a-night-for-ottawa-thunder-trio-of-pitchers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fastpitchwest.com\/thedeuce\/?p=276","title":{"rendered":"Quite a Night for Ottawa Trio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Thunder&#8217;s ISC II Pitching Staff Holds Opposition to Three Hits in Three Games, with Cory Costello tossing a Perfecto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[Ottawa, ON]-On Wednesday August 24, in three different league playoffs games with their club teams, the three pitchers from the ISC II #3 Ottawa Team Easton Thunder squad all excelled after their return from the Tournament of Champions in Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>At Stittsville, ON: <strong>Dan Bradley<\/strong>, pitching for Stittsville 56ers, threw a two hit complete game shutout over the Fitzroy Harbour WC Electric in a 1-0 victory.  Bradley had seven strikeouts in the victory.  Fitzroy Harbour pitcher Brad Porter, a pitcher on the 2004 roster for the Thunder, also threw a two hitter &#8211; the only run was unearned.  Stittsville leads the Greater Ottawa Fastball League best-of-five semi-final two games to none.<\/p>\n<p>At Manotick, ON: <strong>Dan Konkle<\/strong>, pitching for Kanata Team Easton, threw a one hit complete game shutout over the Manotick Lomor Printers in a 5-0 victory.  Konkle had eighteen strikeouts in the victory, and did not go to more than two balls on any batter.  Kanata leads the Greater Ottawa Fastball League best-of-five semi-final one game to none.<\/p>\n<p>At Beachburg, ON:<strong> Corey Costello<\/strong>, pitching for the Micksburg Twins, threw a perfect game, his second of the season, in a 7-0 victory over Beachburg NRTco.  Costello had sixteen strikeouts in the win.
