{"id":29,"date":"2004-11-17T15:45:29","date_gmt":"2004-11-17T23:45:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fastpitchwest.com\/thedeuce\/?p=29"},"modified":"2005-05-19T15:51:41","modified_gmt":"2005-05-19T23:51:41","slug":"updated-isc-ii-eligibility-guidelines-and-changes-to-isc-ii-ineligible-pitchers-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fastpitchwest.com\/thedeuce\/?p=29","title":{"rendered":"Updated ISC II Eligibility Guidelines and Changes to ISC II Ineligible Pitchers List"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For Immediate Release<\/p>\n<p>November 17, 2004<\/p>\n<p>Blair Setford, ISC II Commissioner, has announced updated eligibility guidelines for the ISC II division along with additions and deletions for the ISC II Ineligible Pitchers List.<\/p>\n<p>The new guidelines encompass all ISC II play for travel leagues, qualifier tournaments and the Tournament of Champions and reinforce the firewall between ISC World Tournament competition and ISC II which prevents any type of crossover of teams, players and pitchers between the two divisions.<\/p>\n<p>The full guidelines are available on the ISC web site at: www.iscfastpitch.com\/webstartme\/isc2\/eglis.htm<\/p>\n<p>Included in the changes are the following points:<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00b7 Teams that competed in the 2003 or 2004 ISC World Tournament or the 2004 Canadian Senior Men\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Championship and certain teams that participated in the 2004 ASA \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Major\u00e2\u20ac?, ASA \u00e2\u20ac\u0153A\u00e2\u20ac? and NAFA \u00e2\u20ac\u0153AAA\u00e2\u20ac? tournaments are not eligible for ISC II play.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7 Any player who participated in the 2003 Pan-Am games or the 2000 or 2004 ISF World Championship, the 2003 or 2004 ISC World Tournament or the 2004 Canadian Senior Men\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Championship and certain players that participated in the 2004 ASA \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Major\u00e2\u20ac?, ASA \u00e2\u20ac\u0153A\u00e2\u20ac? and NAFA \u00e2\u20ac\u0153AAA\u00e2\u20ac? tournaments are not eligible for ISC II play.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7 Any pitcher who pitched in the 2003 Pan-Am games or the 2000 or 2004 ISF World Championship or whose name appears on the ISC II Ineligible Pitchers list is not eligible for ISC II play in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7 Once teams have qualified for the ISC II Tournament of Champions, they are allowed only three (3) pick-ups from ISC II-eligible players from within their area.<\/p>\n<p>Any eligibility questions not covered expressly in the guidelines should be directed to your Area or Travel League Commissioner, with a copy to the Region VP and a copy to Bob McGowan and Blair Setford. The ISC strongly suggests resolving eligibility questions prior to the season so there are no surprises or disappointments in league, tournament or championship play.<\/p>\n<p>All appeals must be submitted no later than July 15, 2005 in writing or by email to:<br \/>\n1. Local Area or Travel League Commissioner<br \/>\n2. Region Vice President<br \/>\n3. The tournament will feature 40 teams from across North America playing a four-game round robin schedule in eight pools of five teams each. The top three teams from each pool advance to a single elimination playoff bracket.<\/p>\n<p>The ISC is a non-profit corporation organized for the promotion and administration of men\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and boy\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s fastpitch softball throughout North America.
