{"id":862,"date":"2007-11-07T06:50:53","date_gmt":"2007-11-07T14:50:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fastpitchwest.com\/thedeuce\/?p=862"},"modified":"2007-11-07T06:50:53","modified_gmt":"2007-11-07T14:50:53","slug":"reminder-canada-east-isc-league-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fastpitchwest.com\/thedeuce\/?p=862","title":{"rendered":"Reminder: Canada East ISC League meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All Canada East ISC and ISC II teams are invited to attend the &#8220;state of the league&#8221; meeting for the Canada East ISC League on <strong>Sunday November 11 at 9 am<\/strong> at the Grand Valley Golf Club.<\/p>\n<p>For directions, see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grandvalleygolf.ca\/contact.html\">http:\/\/www.grandvalleygolf.ca\/contact.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Our goal is to make the league benefit the greatest number of teams and provide a high level of competition for all involved.<\/p>\n<p>The schedule can be as flexible as you want to make it. We can limit play to weekends only, play a mixture of weekends and weeknights, or weeknights only.<\/p>\n<p>As most of you are already playing in leagues, we are proposing a schedule that revolves around a couple of weekends early in the year (with some limited weeknights for those that want it).<\/p>\n<p>Options include:<br \/>\nA weekend roundrobin in mid-May<br \/>\nAnother weekend roundrobin in late May\/early June (or some weeknights)<br \/>\nPlayoff tournament in late July<\/p>\n<p>Some incentives to consider:<br \/>\nFor ISC teams, the winner of the 2008 league playoff tournament will receive a berth in the 2009 ISC World Tournament (must play in the league in 2009 to retain the berth).<\/p>\n<p>For ISC II teams, there will be an ISC II berth to the 2008 ISC II ToC in Appleton available to the highest placing ISC II team as of June 30, 2008. <\/p>\n<p>In addition, the highest finishing ISC II team in the league playoff tournament will receive a berth in the 2009 ISC II ToC (must play in the league in 2009 to retain the berth).<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that this is an information meeting only &#8211; no commitments are necessary at this time. <\/p>\n<p>This will be an excellent opportunity to meet the league officials and discuss the advantages of playing in the league in 2008.
