Kenosha, WI<\/p>\n
Earls Club of Kenosha Wisconsin began the Wisconsin ISC II Travel League
\nslow with a 7-6 defeat Friday but bounced back to take five straight wins
\nand finish 5-1. Against the Circle Tap Lumberjacks Friday, Earls was unable<\/p>\n
to hold an early lead and took a tough team loss. Starting Saturday
\nmorning Todd Lubkeman took his first of four wins against PJ’s
\n holding them to just three hits and a single run. Kirk Kamke and Rich Edwards each<\/p>\n
had two hits. Wayne Gaura started the 3rd game and held The Bar of
\nAppleton to just one run. In game 4, Lubkeman started and gave way to
\nGaura in the 4th with a 6-2 lead. Again, Circle Tap chipped away and we
\nmanaged a 7-6 win with the game tying run being thrown out at home to end
\nit. Paul Wouters had two hits and Edwards and Mark Nelson each had two
\nhits a piece and each with an HR. Sunday against The Bar of Appleton we
\nwere no hit but snuck away with a 3-2 win scoring single runs in the 6th,
\n7th, and 8th. Gaura started and Lubkeman got the win in relief. Lubkeman
\nthrew a shutout and took the final win against PJ’s. Paul Skora and
\nEdwards each had 3 run homers to seal the win and finish out a successful
\n1st weekend of Travel League.<\/p>\n
Earls will be playing the ISC II State tournament in a couple weeks and
\nfinish out the Travel League over the 4th of July weekend.<\/p>\n
