I apologize for the lack of game detail….ran this weekend on a skeleton crew at the ballpark, but all the games got in, played on time, the fields were great shape, and it was a good kickoff to the season for a couple the teams who were taking the field for the first time in 2012.

Hill United wins the 2012 Lefty Bartos and Lee Isenhart Memorial
For the 5th year, the Explorers hosted the Midland Special Olympics team for an exhibition game. Same results as every year – it was the only time for the whole weekend that everyone on the field had a smile on their face (per observation by an ISC official at the park). Thanks to Hill United for having their players come out and be part of it. Also, had a couple Capitals players out. Thanks guys – that makes the experience for the SO team even better.
Explorers are in Kitchener next weekend at Legends, and back in Midland the weekend of July 20th as part of the Junior Explorers Invitational. Then there’s a little tournament we’re hosting in August that I hope everyone comes out to.
