20 members of the Provincial Senior Men’s FastPitch Softball are stranded at the airport in St. John’s after their flight to Halifax was unexpectedly cancelled this morning. Click here for the entire story at vocm.com
The team stood to miss its first two games until Softball Canada stepped in and said they would re-do the schedule so that the games are played. As it turns out, that won’t be necessary.

Problem resolved: The Three Cheers Pub team writes:

@AlsFastball they chartered a flight for use then cancelled it an hour before take off. Getting us out tomorrow. Right to make 1st game..
3rd update Tuesday morning from vocm.com
WestJet then announced the airline would charter a flight that would get the 20 players and 10 other fans and family members there by 6:00 this evening, but when they arrived at the airport this afternoon they were told the flight is off until tomorrow morning.
They are now booked on a flight at 6:50 Tuesday morning.
The Three Cheers Pub team is looking to defend their national title for the third year in a row.
