Men’s fastpitch softball is alive and well this weekend in Bessemer Park.
The 2011 Joe Santos Memorial tournament begins today at the park that bears his name. His family is continuing the tradition of bringing some of the best fastpitch softball players in the world to Pueblo.

The 2011 Joe Santos Memorial men’s fastpitch softball tournament is this weekend:
Where: Joe Santos Field, Bessemer Park.Today: 6:30 p.m., opening ceremony; 8 p.m., Pueblo Bandits vs. Rocky Mountain Rebels.
Saturday: 8 a.m., CDJ Auto vs. Rocky Mountain Rebels; 9:30 a.m., Classics vs. Athletics; 11 a.m., Pueblo Bandits vs. Jackalopes; 12:30 p.m., Madhatters vs. Mile High Fastpitch. Bracket games then begin at 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Sunday: Bracket play begins at 8 a.m.; 5 p.m., championship game.
Admission: Free.
