The California A’s won their second game at the ISU world tournament at Midland Michigan on Sunday, 4-0 over the #11 ranked Kegel Black Knights of Fargo North Dakota, advancing to the quarterfinals of the winners bracket, where they will face the number one ranked team in the world, the New York Gremlins tonight, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 8 PM EDT (5pm on the West Coast)
The A’s scored one run in the second, two in the third and one more in the fifth, with ace Sean Whitten tossing a one-hitter while striking out 18. The lone hit for the Black Knights was by DH Jim Harms in the fifth inning

In the California 2nd, Bob Rostenhausler single home Blake Miller who had reached on an error and advanced on a groundout by Marcus Tan.
In the California 3rd, Nate Devine rocked a two run homer, bringing home Chase Turner who ran following a two out single by Matt Palazzo.
In the California 5th, Derek Mayson singled home Kevin Schellenberg, who reached first on a wild pitch, and was sacrificed in the scoring position by Calem Gardner.
