Legends Marks Ten Years of Fastball Excellence
The 2013 Legends of Fastball Classic , June 21-23, marks the tenth
anniversary of providing Ontario fastball fans with the best of yesterday, today and tomorrow in major men’s fastball. Scheduled to kick off at Peter Hallman Ball Yard on Friday night June 21, this years lineup will feature 8 major men’s teams vying for the Legends Trophy and a share of $5000 in team travel funds. In addition, Legends is proud to partner this year with the ISC in hosting the Under 21 Eastern Canadian Qualifier which also features 8
of the best young men’s teams in Ontario battling it out at both Peter Hallman Ball Yard and Budd Park and kicking off at 6:00 pm Friday night.
The lineup for the men’s side includes 3 consecutive ISC champion Jarvis Hallman Twins; AAU National Champions and ISC number 2 ranked Hill United Chiefs; 2012 Canadian Silver medalists Kitchener Cubs; 2012 ISC 2 champion Parry Island Owl Imprint Hawks; 2013 Canadian Men’s National’s host team the Shakespeare Falcons; the Scarborough Force, a team that features Canadian National team pitching tandem Don Scott and Andy Skelton; Elmira Erb Electric Expos, a local favorite capable of riding lefty Danny Martin’s arm, and bat, over any team in the competition; and rounding out the field the
Niagara Snappers, always a threat and a regular at Legends over the past ten years.
Games will kick off at Peter Hallman, Friday June 21, with an Under 21 game at 6:00 p.m. followed by 2 games at 7:00 and 9:00 . Over at Budd Park the Under 21 games start at 7:00 and 9:00 on the main diamond. Full schedules and the Under 21 teams will be announced in the next media release.
The always emotional Legends ceremony, honouring the players and personnel who have made our game special over the years for fans, teammates and officials will be held at 1:00 p.m. on the main diamond at the Ball Yard.
This year’s honourees will be announced later next week.

Sunday all day – $10.0 ( $5.00 after 6:00 p.m. )
