From Larry Silfen:
J&B Painting won the Tournament beating Long Beach in the Finals behind the pitching of Corey Avery and Gerald Pyle, who both threw well all day and also helped with their bats.
Lot’s of folks came out to support Dave / Ronnie and overall the day was a huge success. If anyone would still like to contribute to the Charlotte Blackburn Fund, they can contact me by email anytime.

Editor’s note:
Larry also noted that Ronnie Rupp had surgery today to remove a part of his kidney that had cancerous cells. He is at USC Medical Center for the next few days recovering.
Larry also asked me to let the folks in the fastpitch community how much Dave and Ronnie have appreciated your cards, calls and emails. They have been truly touched by your concern.
Between the earlier accident and today’s surgery, Ronnie has faced a good deal of adversity, and is keeping his chin up. Those of you who have talked with him know that he doesn’t make a big deal about his own situation, but I’m sure it he would appreciate your kind words during the coming days and weeks. I’m working on a mailing address for Ronnie. In the meantime, you can send emails to yourfastpitchfriends (at) fastpitchwest.com and we’ll forward to him, or feel free to post a note to Ronnie in the comment box below.

Ron,
It was great to see you this weekend at the tournament. Your attitude as you battle back inspires everyone. Although Breeder could not be there in person, everyone felt his presence in the park. Special thanks to the Maccabi team for hosting such a great tournament dedicated to our softball brothers.
Get well soon…
Love you MI HIJO Get well soon, God Bless
Stay strong, Ronnie.
