Pueblo Bandits Win 16 Inning Marathon

The Pueblo Bandits won a dramatic 16 inning marathon, 3-2 against the Jarvis Merchants of Ontario Canada, in opening-round play at the ISC world tournament. Frank Basuto and Shaun Vanduval both had four hits in seven at-bats in the marathon win, while pitcher Jeremy Manley helped himself with three hits on his own. The game ended in the bottom of the 16 inning when Sean and of all single home the game-winning run. Manley set what is believed to be an ISC record, striking out 37 matters over the 16 innings, scattering but five hits, while Pueblo scored their three runs on 18 hits. Pueblo will now face the unenviable task of facing the 2005 defending ISC world champions, county materials, at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
