Italian Athletic Club, Romie’s Angels, River City Rockers unbeaten; Taylor Farms & Rounders to Clash in Loser’s Bracket Sat Morning

Friday night closed at the “B” Nationals with three of the four So Cal teams out of the tournament, with two of the teams taking a loss from other So Cal teams. The Savala Rounders are still in with a 1 – 2 record after taking a 7 – 1 loss in the 3:00 PM game against MoKan with Matt Barnes taking the loss.

In their evening game, the Rounders faced Rude-Pac and won 3 – 0. Gordie Marks went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI’s. Russ Snow pitched the whole game earning the win over Don Hall. The Savala Rounders will face Taylor Farms at 10:30 AM on Saturday morning.

Rude-Pac faced Luna’s Towing this morning to open the tournament and fell short 3 – 2. Manager Rudy Montanez said they had their chances but couldn’t’t get the runs across. Daniel Frisbee had a 2-run home run. Jerome Clark took the lost.

In a game which featured two So Cal teams, Rude-Pac faced the Amigos in their afternoon game and won 8 – 0. Doug Rooney earned the win over Tommy Obergon. Scott Pulcifer opened the game with a triple and Paul Janosko ended the game with a 3-run home run to set up the game with the Rounders. Rude-Pac finished the tournament with a 1 – 2 record.

The Amigos evening game was a 10 – 7 loss against MoKan with Robert Martinez taking the lost. In the game Robert Ramos had one home run and Kevin Castillo hit two home run’s. The Amigos finish the tournament with a 0 – 3 record.

The Panteras opened the tournament this morning with a 9 – 1 loss against CR/Addias. In their afternoon game, they faced Taylor Farms and lost 12 – 6 to set up an evening game against Brothern/Global Pacific. According to Toby, the Panteras lost but he did not know the score. The web site will be updated once Fernie checks in. The Panteras also finish the tournament with a 0 – 3 record.

Northern California is still looking good with the Italian Athletic Club, Romie’s Angels and River City Rockers still in the winner’s bracket. Taylor Farms is still alive and will face the Rounders in the morning.
