Circle Tap splits a pair in Liberty Bank tournament in Iowa

[ELKHART, IOWA] — Circle Tap of Denmark split its first two games Saturday at the Liberty Bank Invitational men’s fastpitch softball tournament.

Collin McKenzie threw a three-hitter with 16 strikeouts as Circle Tap beat the Des Moines Stampede 6-2 in its first game. Steve Schucker had a home run and double, Chris Delarwelle also homered and Kyle Magnuson had two doubles.

In its second game, Circle Tap lost 7-0 to the Quad City Sox of Davenport, Iowa. Matt Bramwell took the loss, and Magnuson had Circle Tap’s only hit.

Circle Tap (11-5) played another game late Saturday, and the tournament concludes today.
