Bramwell carries Circle Tap to tourney title

Matt Bramwell was the winning pitcher in semifinal and championship games Sunday as Circle Tap of Denmark won the title of the Townline Shootout men’s fastpitch softball tournament at Howard Memorial Park.

Bramwell gave up five hits and struck out 10 in Circle Tap’s 4-2 victory over The Farm of Madison in the championship game.

In the semifinals, Bramwell threw a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts as Circle Tap beat Townline of Green Bay 8-1.

Against The Farm, Kyle Van Abel hit two solo home runs, and Frankie Perez and Steve Schucker also hit solo homers for Circle Tap (17-7).

Against Townline, Tom Crouch and Van Abel had two-run singles, and Schucker had three hits. James Darby took the loss.
