From the Facebook page:

The Prince George Hitmen are pleased and honored to host the first ever Farrah McGillivary Memorial Fastball Tournament in Prince George at the Spruce City Stadium on the June 11th, 12th and 13th weekend.

Farrah grew up around the ball park watching her mom Bernadette playing in the Prince George Women’s league and also watched several of her uncles, cousins and husband, Norm Linton competing in the Spruce City Men’s League. When the snow started to melt she would get excited for the summer because that meant the ball season wasn’t to far away and the ball park evenings meant family.

Over time, she was spotted in the front row bleachers with her and Norm’s children, Kyra and Easton, cheering on their daddy’s team and enjoying a snack or two from the concession stand.

The game of fastball was a big part of Farrah’s life every summer and the PG Hitmen along with the family have decided to create a legacy in her name for her and Norm’s children.
