A note on the So Cal Bombers from “sledgehammer22”:

Just a quick note on Southern California’s OTHER team. The So Cal Bombers are 3-0 at the ISC World Tournament. We have received great pitching from all three on the staff and timely hitting from some veteren players. It’s been a great atmosphere here as both teams from Cali have showed up at each other’s games and supported. It’s great how two rival teams during the year realize that we are representing Callifornia and show up for their friends to support the cause. I hope we get two teams in the next round. It would be Huge for California fastpitch. Maybe you’ll hear more at the morning brief??? Who knows.

Editor’s note: Wish I could have been out to see your games, but with my broadcasting duties over at the ISC II in Chippewa Falls, (doing 24 games in 5 days), the only ISC World game I’ve had a chance to see an ISC World game was one that started at midnight Monday night, at the end of my ISC II day. While I thoroughly enjoy my work for the ISCII, I am a fastball fan at heart, and wish I had had a bit more time to see and cover the ISC games that were going on at the same time over in Eau Clair.

California can be proud of the performances of both the So Cal Bombers and Team Rainey at the 2005 ISC World Tournament, with both clubs advancing into the playoff round among the Top 24 teams in the world, and competing very well against the world’s best. We’ll do our best to round out the coverage of California’s teams at the ISC, and give both the teams a post tournament wrap that the achievments warrant. Great job, both teams.
