[Alsfastball] South Perth Men’s Fastball League – Bridgeport rolls!

By way of background, the South Perth league in Ontario, Canada is one of the best intermediate fastball leagues in North America. This year’s champions, the Bridgeport ON Braves played in the 2005 ISC II at Chippewa Falls, WI, making the playoffs, but falling to eventual champion, the Elmira ON Cubs. The Tavistock Merchants who finished as the runner-up in the South Perth league was the runner-up in the 2004 ISC II in Fargo, North Dakota. To get to the finals in the South Perth league, Tavistock beat the Sebringville Sting, a name familiar to So Cal fastball fans — they were the team that came out of the loser’s bracket to beat Team Rainey twice for the 2002 NAFA “AA” World Series title at Salem, OR.
