Team USA Tops Team Minnesota for AAU Title

With the score tied at 2 in the bottom of the 7th inning, USA centerfielder Adam LaLonde singled through the left side scoring Blake Miller from second base for the game winning run — and 2006 AAU Championship.

Travis Price went the distance for Team USA to pick up the win. Rick Lang was the hard luck loser, pitching well in relief for Team Minnesota.

In Sunday’s semi-finals, Team USA topped Kitchener Hallman Twins, Ontario, Canada 4-1, and Team Minnesota topped Heflin 6-4.
