KEATING’S RESULTS FROM AMSTERDAM, N.Y.

           Keating’s Fitness Center finished the Kevin Quick Memorial 
Tournament with a 0-3 record.

Gerald Muizelaar threw a 1 hit shutout as Broken Bow defeated Keating's 
Fitness Center 2-0 in the opening game of the tournament. Muizelaar struck 
out 7 and didn't allow a walk. The only hit for Keating's was a 5th inning 
single by Darren Rea.

             Ryan Wolfe led Broken Bow going 2 for 4 with a double and single.

In the second game Fed Lock defeated Keating's 5-3 behind the hitting of 
Ace Sauer. He went 4 for 4 at the plate including a double, 3 singles, an 
RBI and a stolen base. Ken Coles was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a stolen 
base. Jeremy DeBelleval picked up the win on the mound for Fed Lock with 
relief help from Jody Hennigar, who picked up the save.


             Travis Pannebecker led the 8 hit attack for Keating's with a 2 
for 3 effort. He had 2 singles and an RBI. Dan Loney was 2 for 4, 2 
singles. Darren Rea belted a 3rd inning solo homer.

In the next game Gerald Muizelaar scattered 4 hits on his was to the 
complete game victory as the #1 ranked Broken Bow Spirit defeated Keating's 
6-0. Muizelaar struck out 6 and walked 1. Rightfielder Mike Taylor was 3 
for 3 at the plate including 2 home runs, a double, and 3 RBI's. Rhys 
Casley had a 2 for 2 effort with 2 singles.

             For Keating's Dan Loney was 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 
singles. Neil Koser and Steve Ray chipped in with a single each.

Keating’s top hitters for the weekend were: Dan Loney: 4 for 10, .400 Avg, 
4 singles; Travis Pannebecker: 2 for 5, .400 Avg, 1 RBI; Neil Koser: .333 Avg.

Bill Hillhouse led the pitching staff with a 1.94 ERA. with 5 K’s, and 2 BB 
in 7.2 innings.

Keating’s over-all season record is 21-6-1. Their next tournament will take 
them down the road to Allentown, Pa. for the 4th of July Softball Classic 
on Saturday July 3 and Sunday July 4.
