WEEK winner - ST LOUIS' CODY CHAISSON.


Chaisson earns 'Player of the Week' honours

ST. LOUIS - Cody Chaisson of the St. Louis Storm is this week's Source for 
Sports/Alberton Sports 'Player of the Week' for the period June 28-July 4.

Chaisson went 4-8 in the Storm's two games lastw eek, both wins as they 
went to 6-6 after beating the Wellington Arsenault Saw Mill Jacks 9-6 
Tuesday in Abram Village and topped the Moase Plumbing and Heating Midgets 
11-10 in extra innings in St. Louis Wednesday night.

He picked up three singles, one double, three runs scored, two RBI's, 
stolen base, a walk and scored the game winning run in the bottom of the 
eighth against the Midgets on a bases loaded walk to Matt Bernard.

On the season, Chaisson has six hits, seven runs scored, four RBI's and 
four walks in 26 at bats with a .231 batting average. He has picked up his 
pace with a potent offense this past week.

Others considered for the honour included Ryan Ferrish of the Moase 
Plumbing and Heating Midgets, Matt Bernard of the Storm (3-3 with two runs 
scored, two walks and three RBI) and the Storm's Mark McRae (4-9 with two 
singles, a triple, four runs scored, four RBI's and a home run).
