KEMPTVILLE, ONTARIO

The Kemptville area Men's Fastball league standings as of June 30 are as
follows:

Manotick Lomor Printers........5-2-1
Stittsville 56ers..............5-3-1
Fitzroy Harbour WC Electric....4-3-2
Kanata Team Easton.............3-3-2
Kemptville Macton Muckdogs.....0-6-2

Notes:

Manotick vaulted into top place in league in the tight race for first.
Lomor Printers veteran pitcher Dave Nicholson remains perfect on the season
with a 3-0 record, including a 1-0 four-hitter over Fitzroy Harbour on June
23.  Tim Power hit two home runs for Manotick in the month of June and Mike
Branchaud had one.

Stittsville 56ers had a month with big offensive numbers, including 11-2 win
over Kemptville on June 3, 8-1 defeat of Manotick on June 16 and a 12-8
slugfest win over Fitzroy Harbour on June 29.  Greg McMillan and Ryan Bond
had home runs in the victory over Fitzroy.  Dan Bradley had four wins in the
pitching circle for Stittsville.

Fitzroy Harbour went .500 on the month with a 2-2-1 record.  Bud Hanlon had
both pitching wins and the tie for the WC Electric.  Shawn Rebertz had three
home runs for Fitzroy, including two against Kemptville in a 9-0 victory on
June 17.  Charlie Ross and Troy Wilson had two home runs in June league play
and Adam Brown had one.

Kanata Team Easton played well defensively in June, recording two shutouts.
Bill Gerber had the win in a 1-0 victory over Kemptville on June 16 and Dan
Konkle shut out Stittsville 3-0 on June 30.  Randy Peck had a home run in a
7-3 loss against Stittsville on June 23.

Kemptville Macton Muckdogs are still searching for their first win of the
season.  The lone bright spot in June was a 7-7 tie at home on June 24, in
which the Muckdogs scored two in the bottom of seven to get their second
point of the season.  Brad Marion and Bruce Buckland had home runs in that
game and Neil Cooke pitched.

The Kemptville Thunder tournament team remained ranked #1 for ISC II in
Ontario and the continent.  They lost in the semi-finals at the Jim Bradford
Classic in Baltimore, ON, losing to Peterborough RICART Pros ISC World team.
The Thunder took home top prize in the nine-team Blackburn, ON tournament
near Ottawa with a 5-0 record.  The Thunder came back to beat Fitzroy
Harbour WC Electric 4-3 in a round-robin game.

Fitzroy Harbour WC Electric has registered as an OASA "C" team and will
compete at the provincials.  The Electric will also be hosting a tournament
on the weekend of Aug 27-29 and a couple of spots remain.  Contact
