at Duncan McLellan Park, Owen Sound

Scenic City Automotive Crunch 10 Howick Hitmen 9

The Hitmen led 5-0 after a half inning of play.

Centrefielder Trevor Seip drilled a first pitch lead off home run for Howick.

Ken Kivell and Jason Redmond scored for the Crunch in the bottom of the first.

Seip was hit by a pitch and came around to score in the second, giving 
Howick a 6-2 lead.

Crunch Catcher Darryl Sprung hit the first of his two home runs on the 
night to make the deficit 6-3.

Seip would score for a third time in the game, followed by a Jeremy Creedon 
r.b.i. and Howick led 8-3 in the 4th.

Sprung, Chris Bradley & Mike Majury all had rbi's in the 5th as the Crunch 
narrowed the deficit to 8-7.

In the 6th, Sprung connected again with a 2 out solo home run as the Crunch 
tied the game at 8.

In the bottom of the 6th, sloppy defence led to Crunch runs from Kivell and 
Chris Mink as Scenic City Automotive grabbed their first lerad at 10-8.

Reliever Trevor Wardell, who came on in the 6th for the Crunch, gave up a 
run in the 7th, but nailed down the 10-9 win.

Tonight, the Crunch will be in Belmore to face the Stingers.
