Kinch earns 'Player of the Week' honours

ALBERTON - Errol Kinch of the Alberton Arms Pub Athletics is the Source for 
Sports/Alberton Sports 'Player of the Week' for the period July 19-25.

Kinch went 5-for-8 in the A's three games last week - a 4-2 loss to 
Wellington Arsenault Sawmill Jacks Tuesday before picking up 8-6 and 8-0 
wins over the Moase Plumbing and Heating Midgets Sunday.

He batted .625 with four singles, a triple, two runs scored, four stolen 
bases, a walk and two RBI's.

For the season, Kinch is batting .363 (up from .280 before games last 
week), with four runs scored, 12 hits, four RBI's and two walks in 33 at bats.

Others considered this week included Kinch's Alberton teammate, shortstop 
Chris Avery (4-7 with a triple, double, two runs scored and four RBI), 
Wellington Jacks pitcher Shawn Gallant (pitching win, two runs on three 
hits and 10 strikeouts) and the Midgets's Barry MacNeil (2-4 with two 
triples, two runs scored and an RBI) and Ryan Gallant (2-4 with two runs 
scored and a three-run blast).
