The 3rd Annual Vancouver Challenge Mens FP tournament kicked off this 
evening under sunny skies and balmy west coast weather.  With a good 
opening night crowd in attendance, the host Vancouver Grey Sox did not 
disappoint with a 5 - 2 victory over the Lower Mainland Premier League All 
Stars.  The Grey Sox have bolstered their pitching staff for the weekend 
with the Calgary Diamonds, righthander Sean Whitten joining the 
fold.  Whitten did not take long to get acquainted with his new mates as he 
was put into a relief appearance in the 4th inning and was credited with 
the win.

Action continues Saturday at 10:00 am with games going all day, with the 
last contest of the day starting at 8:00 pm.  Victoria Travellers Inn (ISC 
ranked # 7), Portland DeMarini Merchants (ISC ranked # 13) and Olympia 
Morgan Transfer / United Van Lines (ISC ranked # 30) all see action on 
Saturday.
