Subject: Victoria Traveller's Inn Fastpitch Team @ Vancouver Challenge
  Tournament.....


         Victoria Traveller's Inn Fastpitch Team are playing in the Vancouver
Challenge Tournament in Vancouver, B.C. this weekend.
         Traveller's Inn opened play this afternoon with a 7-0, 5-inning 
win over
Olympia Morgan Transfer.  Collin McKenzie and Korrey Gareau combined to
throw a 1-hitter - McKenzie went the first 3.3 innings, recording 7
strikeouts, while Gareau finished , allowing just the one hit and fanning 4.
CF Jeff Hurford powered the offence, going 2-3 with a 3-run home run.
         In their second game of the day, Traveller's Inn defeated the 
Vancouver
Premier League All-Stars, also 7-0 in 5 innings.  Rick Smith fired a
no-hitter in this game, and Doug Cain belted a 3-run home run.
         Traveller's Inn are back on the field tonight at 8:00 P.M. against
Vancouver Grey Sox, then wrap up round-robin play  Sunday morning against
Portland DeMarini.  The championship final game is scheduled for 4:00 P.M.
Sunday.
