The Midland Explorers finished the ASA Major Nationals with a disappointing 
1-2 record.  The 20-team tournament concludes Sunday afternoon.

Game 1
Heflin Builders (Ballston Lake, NY) 2, Explorers 0
WP - Steve Price (3 hits, 10K), LP - Doug Gillis (6 hits, 7K).
2-run triple by Heflin's Billy MacDonald was the only scoring of the 
game.  Kyle Beane, Steve Roberts, and TyRon McKinney had hits for Midland.

Game 2
Explorers 8, Planggers Furniture (Benton Harbor, MI) 0
WP - Grant Patterson (2 hits, 1K), LP - Harold Kelly (9 hits, 5K)
An RBI single by Terry Boetsma in the 1st inning started the 
scoring.  Beane drove in a run with a Sacrifice fly in the 3rd.  A 2-run 
homer by Eddy Ketelhut scored Mike Gohsman who had doubled.  Boetsma hit a 
2-run homer in the 5th, and Beane hit a 2-run homer in the 6th to finish 
the scoring.  Beane (3 RBI), Boetsma (3 RBI), and Ketelhut (2 RBI) each had 
2 hits.

Game 3
Houston HIS Construction (Houston, TX) 3, Explorers 0
WP - Rob Schweyer (2 hits, 11K), LP - Doug Gillis (5 hits, 8K)
Ellis Ugueto drove in 2 runs with a double, and Jason Darling drove in 
another with a single.  Ketelhut and Gohsman had the only hits for Midland.
