The Wiarton Tom Norris Busmen are hosting the Ontario Intermediate " C " 
Fastball Championships this weekend.

The Busmen will be one of 12 teams competing at the event which begins 
Friday at 7pm and runs through the weekend.

The three day playdown will be staged at both Bluewater Park and at the Dan 
Davidson Diamond in the town.

Busmen infielder Brett Miller believes the calibre of play will be very 
exciting and he believes Wiarton has a shot at winning the event.

Miller says it's been more than 50 years since Wiarton was the host team, 
and the Busmen are honored to be the host team for the event.

The last time Wiarton hosted the tournament, they also won the championship.

Play starts Friday at 7 pm at both diamonds.

The Busmen will open against the Kingston Cyclones at 7 in Bluewater Park, 
and if Wiarton wins, they'll play Saturday evening at 6 pm.

The championship games are set for Sunday.
