O.A.A.S.A. Intermediate " C " Championship Tournament

at Wiarton, Ontario

Game # 1

Chepstow Aces 10 Linwood Cheifs 3

The Aces would take a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second as rightfielder 
Jason Daw doubled, pitcher Tim Lang had an r.b.i. double and Designated 
Player Jeremy Grawl added an r.b.i. triple.

Linwood would tie the score in the top of the third inning at 2-2.

Centrefielder Ryan Miller doubled and came around to score, then shortstop 
Derek Martin who got aboard on a fielder's choice would also score to tie 
the game.

Chepstow sent 9 men to the plate in the bottom of third.

Catcher Chris Lang  doubled and scored to give the Aces a 3-2 lead.

By the end of the inning, second baseman Steve Bourne had an rbi double, 
shortstop Dave O'Hagan had an rbi single and Grawl drove in another run to 
make it 6-2 Chepstow.

In the top of the 4th, designated player Jamie Amos had an rbi single for 
Linwood to make it a 6-3 game.

In the bottom of the fourth, Bourne launched a 2 run homer for Chepstow to 
make it 8-3.

The Aces would close it out in the 5th when third baseman Terry Graf had an 
rbi double and Matt Reinhart ended the game with an rbi for a 10-3 score.

Tim Lang was the winning pitcher for Chepstow, relieved by Pete Spitzig.

For Linwood, Casey Halstead took the loss, relieved after 3 & 1/3 by Jamie 
Amos.

Play resumes at 9 am Saturday at Bluewater Park.

Play at the Dan Davidson Diamond commences Saturday morning at 10 am and 
games will be staged at each diamond on 2 hour intervals.

8 other teams, including the Wiarton Tom Norris Busmen, are competing this 
weekend for the O.A.S.A. " C " Championship at Wiarton.
