at Duncan McLellan Park in Owen Sound

Port Elgin Blue Devils 4 Scenic City Automotive Crunch 2

Winning pitcher Darryl Banks helped his own cause with a 3 run homer in the 
top of the second inning to stake the Blue Devils to a 3-0 lead.

Crunch catcher Darryl Sprung drilled a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 
third to cut Port Elgin's lead to 3-2.

Port Elgin Rightfielder Mike Reilly greeted Crunch reliever Trevor Wardell 
with a solo homer in the top of the 4th to make it 4-2.

With one out in the top of the 6th inning, the game was halted due to rain.

The Crunch will play their final regular season home game next Tuesday when 
they host the Chepstow Aces.

The Blue Devils, Chepstow and the Wiarton Busmen are among the 12 teams 
competing this weekend at the O.A.S.A. Intermediate " C " Championship 
tournament.

Play begins Friday night at 7 pm at both Bluewater Park and the Dan 
Davidson Diamond.

The opening ceremonies Friday night follow the first game at Bluewater Park.

Of note, the ceremony will include 9 members of the Wiarton Redmen Fastball 
Team from 1953 to 1960
