Waddell, Greenan selected co-'Player of the Week'

ST. LOUIS, PEI - Wade Waddell of the Kinkora O'Shea's Pub and Eatery Hitmen 
and Brian Greenan of the St. Louis Storm are the Source for Sports/Alberton 
Sports co-'Player of the week's' for the period Aug 15-21.

Waddell hit 3-4 in the Hitmen's lone two games last week - both wins over 
the Summerside Moosehead Greco Twins to go to 20-0 on the season.

The veteran catcher, who will be called upon this weekend to provide 
veteran leadership for Kinkora at the senior men's nationals in Halifax, 
N.S. - had a home run, three RBI in game two a 9-4 win while hitting 2/2 in 
game one (a 9-0 drubbing) with a run scored. He batted .750 in the two games.

Waddell is batting .362 on the season with eight runs scored on 17 hits, 
with three of those hits being long bombs, while driving in 13 RBI and 
walking four times in 47 plate appearances.

Greenan was 2-3 with a double, single and drove in five RBI's as the Storm 
toppled the Wellington Jacks 6-1 last Wednesday in St. Louis. He hit .667 
in his team's lone game, which got them back to .500 ball before winning 
Tuesday in Wellington to go to 11-10.

Greenan is hitting .327 with 18 hits, nine runs scored, one home run and 16 
RBI in 55 plate appearances.

Others considered for the award this week include: Hugh John McIver (3-4, 
three singles, two runs scored, stolen base, two RBI); Summerside Twin 
Darryl Yeo (3-10, three singles, RBI); Yeo's teammate Tood Richard (2-5, 
four walks, single, run scored) and Kinkora's Brian Duffy (2-6, walk, 
double, run scored).
