Fitzroy Harbour ON:

The West Carleton Electric Men's Fastball Club is hosting their 3rd annual
intermediate fastball tournament from August 27th to 29th in the village of
Fitzroy Harbour, west of Ottawa.

With the unfortunate late withdrawal of one team, there will be seven
entrants vying for the $800 top prize.  Format will be double knockout.
Action begins at 7:00PM on Friday, continues all day Saturday starting at
9:00AM with action wrapping up on Sunday beginning at  1100AM.

Teams competing in this year's event are:

1.  Fitzroy Harbour, ON West Carleton Electric.  West Carleton Electric is
part of the competitive Kemptville area league, where they finished fourth
in regular season play.  Fitzroy is also affiliated with the Upper Valley
League where they went 4-0 on the season.  Bud "The Spud" Hanlon and Mark
Wright will be pitching for the 'Trics.

2.  Micksburg, ON Twins:  A perennial fastball powerhouse in eastern
Ontario, the Twins once again captured the Upper Valley regular season crown
this season for the 6th straight year.  Micksburg has won titles at the 2004
Shawville and McNab tournaments this season and were finalists at Bay Bash
in Campbell's Bay.  Cousins Shawn and Corey Costello pitch for Micksburg and
veteran lefty Dwight Mick has also come out of retirement for the Twins this
season.

3.  Blackburn, ON JEM Lumber Bombers:  Blackburn is made up of players from
the Blackburn Men's league.  The Bombers had an excellent showing at the
2004 OASA Men's C tournament in Wiarton with a third-place finish.  Shannon
Borho and Rob Elder will throw for Blackburn.

4.  Manotick, ON Lomor Printers: The veteran Manotick squad finished the
regular season in first place in the Kemptville area league.  Dave "Skip"
Nicholson and lefty Trevor Lahey will toe the rubber for Lomor Printers.

5.  Campbell's Bay, QC Quyon Ferry Royals:  Campbell's Bay is a member of
the Upper Ottawa Valley league and has bolstered their roster with some
additions from Shawville Hursty's for the weekend.  The Royals will have
lefty Len Burger throwing and have added Joe German from the Toronto area to
their pitching staff for the weekend.

6.  Ottawa, ON Valley Raiders:  The Valley Raiders finished first in the
Ottawa RA League and are currently in the playoff finals.  Ottawa will have
Jesse Milne who pitched for Campbellford in 2004 OASA Eliminations, as well
as veteran left-hander Gord Flannery on the hill.

7.  Stittsville, ON 56ers:  Stittsville is a member of the Kemptville area
league and finished third in regular season standings.  Scott Herriott will
be throwing for the 56ers.
