The #1 seeded Lindsay Paper Box, and #2 seeded Bobcaygeon Jermyn Lumber 
advanced through the past weekend's season ending league tournament to a 
best two out of three series to be held this week (Sept 14 and Sept 19).

Bobcaygeon opened the double-knockout with a loss to the #7 ranked Coffee 
Way team. Geoff Ingram took the loss in seven innings for Bobcaygeon.

Bobcaygeon won thier first "B" side game vs. the #3 ranked Log Chateau. 
Nick McHugh pitched seven innings for the win.

Bobcaygeon won thier second "B" side game vs. last year's runners-up the 
Bull and Boar. Dean Junkin hit a walk-off slam in the bottom of the seventh 
to give Bobcaygeon the victory. Geoff Ingram got the win in relief of Nick 
McHugh, Ingram also added two home runs in the winning effort.

Bobcaygeon won thier third "B" side game vs. #6 ranked Tow-All (Fenelon 
Falls). Geoff Ingram pitched seven innings for the victory. Craig Jermyn 
notched his first homer of the season in the victory.

Bobcaygeon then avenged thier opening game loss by defeating Coffee Way, to 
advance to the best two of three final through the "B" side. Nick McHugh 
pitched seven innings for the win.

Lindsay received a bye in the first game through virtue of thier 1st place 
finish in the regular season.

Lindsay opened with a win vs. last year's runner-up Bull and Boar. Glen 
Harris hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh to win it for 
the Paper Box. Brett Richmond pitched seven innings for the win.

Lindsay's next game was vs. the surprising #7 ranked Coffee Way club. 
Coffee Way had upset the #2 ranked Bobcaygeon Lumber 6-2 in thier opener, 
then demolished the #6 ranked veteran Tow-All squad by a score of 24-4. 
Lindsay won the game in the bottom of the seventh by a score of 2-1. Brett 
Richmond had the game winning RBI's and pitched seven strong innings for 
the victory. Lindsay advanced to the best of three final on the "A" side.


The league also handed out the season ending awards.

Brett Richmond from the Lindsay Paper Box, and Chris Perrin from Rona Homes 
shared the Best Pitcher award.

Duane Webster from Coffee Way was league MVP.

Geoff Ingram from Bobcaygeon Jermyn Lumber and Chris Ross from Tow-All were 
tied with the most home runs.

The best two of three final gets under way on Tuesday, September 13, 2004 @ 
8:00 p.m. Games two and three (if necessary) are scheduled for Sunday, 
September 19, 2004 @ 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
