LORDS DEFEAT SENECA COLLEGE AND BREAK CONSECUTIVE WIN RECORD!
TEAM REMAINS UNDEFEATED AT 4-0! AMAZING RECORD NOW AT 31

Summary: RECORD BREAKING NIGHT!  The back-to-back defending OCAA
Champions broke their own amazing school record tonight with
their 31st consecutive conference win - a 9-1 victory over arch
rival Seneca College.  The game was tight until the 5th inning,
with Seneca holding a 1-0 lead.  The Lords bats exploeded in
the 5th as they put an "8" on the board and batted around the
lineup.  Freshman outfielder Kathy Glen went 3 for 4 to lead
the Lords offense including a triple and double in the same 5th
inning.  Freshman starter Kristin Hurst evened her record at
2-2 overall with a super 2 hit effort while striking out 5. 
To capture the significance of this record achievement is difficult
but considering the number of colleges and the schedule each
year, 31 wins in a row in any sport is amazing.  The Lords can
add to the record this Friday night at home when they host 2nd
place Mohawk College.

Other notes: The annual DC Can-Am Classic has been cancelled
this coming weekend.....Lords pitcher, Erin Smith was named the
Whitby Toyota Athlete of the Week in the THIS WEEK Newspaper
(Sept.22nd edition)... Lords are holding a fundraising BBQ on
Saturday, October 2nd on campus in the Athletic Centre courtyard!
