Waterdown Men's Fastball League
Championship Series
 
The Hamilton Hawks will square off against the Waterdown Hammer
for 
the 5th year in a row to see who is the top team in the WMFL.
Each team has won 2 league championships during the past 4 years.
The Hawks are led by pitchers Duane Singer and Chad Reed while
the Hammer 
counter with a tough pitching staff consisting of Brian Lisk,
 Rod Favreau and Jim Hurst.
The Hawks are coming off a great tournament where they went undefeated
to win the 
Golden Horseshoe League Championship Tournament. We should see
the Hawks in 
the top 10 when the final intermediate rankings are released.
The Hammer are an aging 
team that should be able to field a top notch masters team in
2005 if they wish to.
All 3 of the above mentioned pitchers are of masters age in 05.

Hammer players, Rod Favreau, Tim Thorne, Don Chillman, Joe Reeve,
Dave Benallick 
and Hawks player Lance Winn recently won the Silver Medal with
the Stoney Creek Gators 
at the 2004 Canadian Masters Fastball Championship. The first
game of the championship 
series is scheduled for Fri. Sep. 24th. 8:00 P.M. in Millgrove.
