TEAM REMAINS UNDEFEATED AT 5-0! AMAZING RECORD NOW AT 32

Summary: RECORD EXTENDED!  The back-to-back defending OCAA Champions 
extended their own amazing school record tonight with their 32nd 
consecutive conference win - a 8-0 victory over Mohawk College.  The game 
was tight until the 5th inning, with Durham holding a 1-0 lead.  The Lords 
bats again exploded in the 5th as 3 on the board thanks to a 3 run HR by 
freshman outfielder Kathy Glen.  The 5th inning has been the big inning for 
DC so far this season. Four more runs in the 6th sealed the deal for DC as 
they rolled to their 5th straight conference win this season! 
(5-0)  Senior, Erin Smith tossed her 3rd straight shutout to improve to 3-0 
on the season. She gave up only 3 hits on her way to her 37th career 
victory. (37-2 all-time, #1 on the list)  The Lords, in the 6th inning, 
pasted last years OCAA top Pitcher Krystal Eckersall with 5 hits and 4 runs 
in her one inning of work.  Freshman outfielder Kristy Kelly fouled off 7 
straight pitches in the 3rd inning before lining an rbi double to open the 
scoring.  Shortstop, Lenna Panou made a hi-lite reel leaping catch in the 
5th and nearly doubled the runner off first base.

Other notes: The record 32 consecutive conference wins dates back to the 
second game of the 2002 season.   An amazing feat since it also includes 
the play-offs!!! ...... The annual DC Can-Am Classic has been cancelled 
this coming weekend.....Lords are holding a fundraising BBQ on Saturday, 
October 2nd on campus in the Athletic Centre courtyard! Hope to see a big 
turnout. They could use your support!
