Fastball Community,

After some reflection and lengthy discussion, the Niagara Snappers will be
relocating back to the charming and historic Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake,
Ontario and Memorial Park.

It became apparent over the last several weeks that remaining at Lancaster
Park or any park in the City of St. Catharines, ON would not be in the best
interests of this team or this game. With the future of the Niagara
Snappers Fastball Club in mind, team organizers have decided a return to
cozy Memorial Park was the best path to take. After a one year hiatus the
Snappers return to a park they called home during the 2002 and 2003 seasons
(Erie Fastball League). They left Memorial Park to pursue interests in St.
Catharines only to learn that the "grass is not always greener"

The Snappers would like to thank Ken Steeve and the St. Catharines Minor
Softball Association for their efforts. In the end, the issues that led to
this move were specific to the City of St. Catharines and their staff.

Clive Buist, NOTL Parks and Recreation Supervisor has confirmed this return
and looks forward to the sight of competitive fastball taking place at the
old town park. Niagara team organizers are currently working on a 2005
plan that should see a few new challenges presented to the Snapper
roster. For a recap of the 2004 season, the latest off-season news and
roster moves, please check out the Niagara Snappers website.
