After 36 years in operation the Victoria Men's Fastball Team
has folded. Over their history these teams were known as Bate
Construction, Budgets, Royals, Pay Less, Legends and Traveller's
Inn.  Their accomplishments include; Co winners of an ISF World
Championship, The last club Team to win a Pan Am gold medal for
Canada and 10 National Championships. The West Coast Fastball
Society, who operated the team in 2004 were dealt a heavy blow
in early December when Traveller's Inn representative Harvey
Stevenson Sr. informed President Gary McInnis that Traveller's
Inn were unable to provide any cash for the team for the 2005
season but would help out in rooms for visiting teams. After
several meetings with individuals and companies to find the cash
needed to operate the ball club the executive met last night
and with no sponsor or sponsors folded the operation for the
2005 season.
We would like to wish everyone a successful 2005 season.
