The fifth annual May 2-4 Blast Fastball Tournament will be held
May 19-22, 2005 at Hillside Park in Waterloo, Ontario. It is
presented by the Waterloo Ontario Fastball Association.
 
This year's format will feature two divisions, a 10-team Intermediate
division and an eight-team Masters division.  The Intermediates
will play round robin in two divisions of five teams. The top
four teams from each division advance to the championship round.
Similarly, the Masters will be split into two divisions and will
also play round robin to determine the top two teams from each
side to enter the championship play downs. Barring weather delays,
round robin play will be finished on Saturday and the playoffs
will start Sunday morning.
 
The Intermediate entry fee is $350 with prize money for wins
in the round robin, and to the top three finishers in the championship
round. There is a limit of three Canadian Senior or ISC Open
players per team, only one of which may be a pitcher.
 
The Masters entry fee is $250. Prize money will be awarded for
wins in the round robin and to the top two finishers in the championship
round. OASA age rules for position players and pitchers will
be followed to determine player eligibility. Canadian Senior
and ISC Open pitchers are not eligible to pitch in the Masters
division.
 
Entry deadline for both divisions is April 1,2005. The tournament
entry fee should be paid by that date to guarantee a spot in
the tournament.
