Rain suspends play on day two of Evodrive Series
Friday February 4th 2005, 6:45pm

The weather gods have spoken and caused disruption on day two
of theEvodrive Series in Rotorua today.

Only two games have been completed so far on day two with Australiadefeating
Japan 4-3 and Samoa picking up their first win of the series4-3
over the All Stars. 

When the rain set in there were two games in action with the
New ZealandCommunity Trust Black Sox leading Japan 1-0 and Australia
and the AllStars locked up at 0-0.

Both games were suspended when the rain started and will resume
tomorrowmorning from the same position in a revised format.

If the weather holds out their will be one more game played at
RotoruaInternational Stadium tonight between the two unbeaten
teams in theseries the Black Sox and Australia. 

That game will start at 8pm and if finished will mean the first
sectionof round robin has been completed.

Tomorrow in a revised format the second round robin will be played
withall teams playing each other one in five innings games starting
with thematches that were suspended earlier today.

Results Day 2 Friday February 4th:
  
Game 8  Australia      4       Japan   3
Game 9  Samoa   4       AllStars       3 

The Evodrive Pacific series final’s will be broadcast live on
TV2 from12pm to 5pm Sunday 6th February,  as well as simulcast
live over theInternet. This is NZ Time.
