Fastball returning to Sharon

This season marks the return of high caliber fastball to Sharon. The Lake 
Simcoe Lightning have moved from Keswick to the East Gwillimbury Sports 
Complex North Diamond off Farr Avenue.

  Hoping that this year will be a successful year the Lightning will be 
welcoming back Brad Fogal. Fogal left last year to play with the Oshawa 
BB's an experience that led him to be selected to both the Team Ontario and 
Team Canada selection camps. Second year lightning player Jeff Hansen was 
also selected for the Team Ontario camp.

Returning to the Lightning again are 2 time all stars, Todd Hamblin, John 
Zeiger and Matt Osborne. Rick May who struck out 100 batters last year 
returns to the rubber along with Jay Nesbitt joining the team this year in 
a full time roll. Dean White, Brad Copping and Al Cox will patrol the 
outfield and Dave Smith will add youth up the middle at second base.

Chris Campbell will take over the reigns coaching the Lightning, replacing 
Bill Owens who retired at the end of last season.

With a new look and a new home the Lightning look to improve on last 
seasons success where they finished 4th at Provincials in Wiarton.

The season opens May 8th for the Lightning in Markham with the home opener 
scheduled for May 17th against their perennial rivals from Bradford. All 
home games are Tuesday nights at 8:30.
