JRW & Associates drops Extra Inning Game in Pool Play at ISC II ToC

Casper Park, Chippewa Falls, WI ...At the International Softball Congress II
Tournament of Champions, JRW & Associates of Yakima, WA are 1-2 after three
days of pool play.

JRW dropped an extra inning game to a scrappy bunch from Wasau, WI as Rep &
Baja rallied for 3 runs in the B8 to secure a 4-3 victory. Rep & Baja are
now 2-1 and JRW & associates drops to 1-2 in Pool play.

JRW LF Dave Carlton homered to lead off the top of the second for a 1-0
lead. Several outstanding defensive plays by the JRW fielders kept R & B off
the board. CF Tim Fischer crashed over the fence for a catch to save a home
run. SS Paul Reyes dove in the 2B hole for a grounder and threw the
batter-runner out from his knees. In the 8th Paul again dove in the 2B hole
to keep a grounder from going thru and preventing the runner from second
scoring.

JRW pitcher Dave Drotzmann had 9 strikeouts thru the 5th inning, but walked
Rep & Baja 3B Bryon Harris with two outs in the 6th inning. Byron scored the
tying run as the result of two infield fielding errors.
In the T8 under the International Tie-Breaker (ITB) rules, JRW scored two
runs on CF Tim Fischer's RBI single and pinch hitter Matt Barnes' ground out
that was errored.

In the B8, Rep & Baja scored a run on R & B Catcher Brad Ceranski's single
after the ITB runner was thrown out at the plate. The next batter was
intentionally walked and Pitcher Matt Barnes relieved Drotzmann. R & B pinch
hitter Steve Ackerson hit a looper into RF and two runs scored before the
right fielder could get the ball to the plate, giving R & B the 4-3 victory.

JRW pitcher Dave Drotzmann had 10 strikeouts and 4 walks while WP Jay Wilder
had 8 strikeouts and no walks.

JRW now must beat McKie Sports of Lake Oswego, NY 2004 ASA National
Champions, at 2 PM Thursday in their 4th pool game to make the playoffs.
