JRW & Associates defeats ASA Class A Nat'l Champs to Reach ToC Playoffs

Casper Park, Chippewa Falls, WI ... At the International Softball Congress
II Tournament of Champions, JRW & Associates defeated McKie Sports of Lake
Oswego, NY, 2004 ASA Class A National Champions, 3-0 Wed afternoon in their
4th pool game to make the playoffs.

JRW tied with McKie Spts and Rep & Baja at 2-2 in pool play but received the
number 2 seed based on runs allowed among the 3 teams (4 runs allowed).
McKie received the number 3 and last seed out of pool B. The number one seed
was Harriston, Ontario Mercury (4-0), two-time defending ISC II champion.

JRW pitcher Dave Drotzmann struck out 11 and walked one while scattering
four singles. Only one runner reached third base.

McKie pitcher Justin Heyman struck out 8 and walked one.

JRW scored their three runs in the B3. SS and leadoff batter Paul Reyes
walked. 2B Kasey Knight doubled on a fake bunt and slap, sending Reyes to
third. 3B Dean Waltier singled in Reyes, advancing Knight to third. Waltier
reached second on an infield ground-out. CF Tim Fischer's Texas Leaguer
scored both runners for the eventual 3-0 win.

JRW CF Tim Fischer was 2-3 with 2 RBI. 3B Dean was 1-3 with 1 run scored and
one RBI.

JRW 2B Kasey Knight made an outstanding defensive play in the T4, diving to
his right to stop a grounder and throwing the runner out at first from his
knees.

In the T7 with one out, a McKie batter singled but was erased with a game
ending 6-4-3 double play.
JRW will face Fisher Group of Mankato, MN at 9:00 PM Wed night in the first
round of a 24 team single-elimination playoff.
