Waseda University of Tokyo, Japan advanced to the championship game of the 
2005 NAFA World Series at Caswell Park in North Mankato, Minnesota this 
morning with a 3-0 win over Lancaster County Motors of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Waseda pitcher Yukinori Nakashima ran his record to 5-0, striking out 17 
against Lancaster.  Nakashima threw a no-hitter in his previous game 
against New Image Salon of Monfort, Wisconsin.

Waseda awaits the winner of the Lancaster-Nor Cal Mavericks (Sacramento, 
Cal) game.  Nor Cal defeated New Image 5-4.  Trailing by two outs in the 
top of the seventh, with runners on first and third, New Image batter 
Harvey Knutson hit a fly ball to centerfield.  Nor Cal centerfielder Jeff 
Reach jumped to make a catch that carried him over the fence and would have 
been a walk-off homer for Knutson in the Fourth Place Game.
