JRW & Associates throws away the throw-away game with PBI at the NAFA World
Series.

Casper Park, Mankato, Minnesota..On Saturday morning in the NAFA Class AA
World Series, JRW lost in extra innings 5-3 to Pate Bonding, Inc (PBI) of St
Paul.

JRW literally threw away the throw-away game in the NAFA 3GG format. In this
format, the first game after a opening game loss has typically been called a
throw-away game as both winner and loser advance to play their guaranteed
third game.

In the T1, JRW gave up two unearned runs with errors on the first two
batters, a walk, plus a double and a single by PBI. JRW tied the game in B1
on LF Bob Harris' 2 RBI single.

PBI went ahead 3-2 in T2 on 3 singles. JRW tied the game in B1 on SS Mike
Parham's single and C Jason Scheibner's triple.

PBI went ahead 4-3 in T9 on 3 singles, but added a 5th run on the last
single as CF Todd Vanderhaag stole home when the OF throw to 2B was lobbed
in.

PBI pitcher Don Wall sealed the win with 2 K's in the B9.

JRW will play next at 4:45 PM Sat afternoon in an elimination game in the
3GG NAFA loser's bracket.
